How about the 30-page Altima brake thread?

30 page... why so long? Where did you see this thread? Are the Altima's brakes a poor design?

So you don't think a 356, a 550 spyder, a 917 or even a Carrera G.T. are REAL Porsches?

I'd rather have any of the above over a 911.

Love you... Pigglet Boy xxxxxxx [sm=pcwhack.gif]

Well, there is the story about the elasticized cam my friend Larry bought for his Dodge Coronet 318 in high school. He was smart enough or maybe just tenacious enough to actually install the cam correctly and the car actually ran fine with it. But he was stupid enough to not only fall for the joke but brag about it to his friends.

Elasticized cam? The cam lobes were "specially treated" so they were "elastic," thus, as the cam turned faster centrifugal force would pull the end of the lobes out farther and that would make the lift higher at high RPM, where you want it, but leave you with low lift for a smooth idle and low end torque.

Never did know what the cam really was, but for several years he swore it worked wonders.
