I have a 1987 944. the muffler was loose and rattling, so I pursued a replacement muffler. Many sources told me to get a Flowmaster 44 series, so I did and it sounds TERRIBLE... I did not want to just put a stock on on it that sounds like a leaf blower. Anybody got any suggestions?

I have never liked the flowmaster much on the 944. The turbos sound good with magnaflows which are straight through mufflers, but the NA cars are hard to make sound good with an aftermarket muffler.
