Her is my question, I have a 1986 911 carrera with 3000mi on a new clutch and 1st gear syncro. In the last week when going into 1st or 3rd gear the syncro makes a squeeking sound as if the shifter needs to be oiled. When slowly engaging 3rd or 1st on a down shift the noise is really a whine, as if the syncro is not quite engaging correctly. Is there some easy adjustment I can make? I have the service manual to go by if I only had a clue where to start. Believe it or not this is the 1st car I plan on doing as much of the maintanence as I can on. Thanks
