Default 911sc clutch issue

hi, i have a 1983 911sc cabriolet with 35k miles, just got out of storage and the clutch is acting up, or at least the cable is. when i release the clutch pedal it semms to almost stops releasing, still not engages, then you have to release the pedal a fair amount to continue and it grabs all at once, causing the car to busck severly or stall, once going all is fine, i hope its a bad cable or adjustment and not needind a new clutch, have read up on the cable and helper spring issue and hope that will remedt the situation. any thoughts? thanks bob

Default RE: 911sc clutch issue

The cable could be sticking, and that would meen removing the cable and lubricating it.
It could also point to a problem with the clutch pressure plate diaphragm/springs hanging up, ora problem with the clutch relase bearing.
Lubricate the cable first.
