The 3rd tail light located center on the hydraulic spoiler has what looks like a small access panel with a notch. Sliding a small screw driver in the notch to gently try to pry it open isn't doing the trick.

the side piece is to be pryed open which allows the light to be removed. it's stuck so it may crack or break on removal. the dealer has the replacement for 129.00

 

Should just pop off with a small screw driver, then there is a plastic screw that you turn 90 degrees underneath and the light pulls out.

 

thanks for the help. in the meantime I obtained a manual with all of the light removal steps in it
