Default Airbag Failure

I installed a Pioneer avic-z2 navagaion system in my 2002 911 turbo, I moved the A/C contoles down to where the pocket is. all went well and was working good I took it out to fix the dash piece I made, when I pu it back in and put it all back together the airbag failure warning came up and the airbag light is on. I only did two things diferant, I used wood 1/2" spacers to bring the radio up so its centered and I screwed them down to the metal directly under the radio, the screws only went threw about 1/4" at most it doest seem like there is anything under there but im not sure. also I unpluged the wiper speed control **** next to the radio and the cig. lighter with those unpluged I started the car, I know in other vehicals having things unpluged and starting the car can trigger airbag lights it just sliped my mind.
I have an appointment at the dealer in a couple days but if any one hasANY ideas let me know please for some peace of mind.
Thanks
Joshua Greene
