Air Filter

Default Air Filter

HOw do i change the air filter and where is it? how? and when do i need to do it . i have a 2002 boxster S, with 27k miles i bought the car with 24k dont know if air filter was ever changed. do i need one at 30k? thanks

I think you had the advice from Porsce Doc on a separate thread on how to change. My advice would be if you dont know if the filter has been changed, for the sake of the small amount of money involved, play safe and change it.

Follow my post on accessing the engine. Once you are in there, the air filter is in a box on the drivers side. The filter will slide out angled towards the top of the engine. It is under a flat black cover, just flip off the metal spring retainer clips, and pull the assembly out. Replace the filter, and reinstall the unit.
