Default Dead throttle in '01 911

Was pulling out ofthe driveway when the throttle went dead on my '01 C2 Cab (manual). The car has PSM so I believe it has the "e-gas" eletric motor powered throttle rather than a mechanical linkage. I'm guessing the motor died and needs to be replaced. Won't know until I can get to a mechanic on Monday. Engine starts and shuts down fine- just no response on the gas pedal...

Any thoughts in the interim? Any suggestions / insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry for posting twice - posted the same message in the 911 forum, but realized after the fact that this was probably the more appropriate spot..

Hmmm either a bad throttle body (you are correct by the drive by wire system) or a bad ECU. If the o2 sensor wires have ever shorted out, then will short the ecu....the car will still start, but will take no throttle response.

Thanks PorscheDoc. I took a closer look by the light of day today and it looks like it may be a relatively low tech problem. A plastic component on the guide lever that should hold the metal push rod in place had broken so the push rod was floating around and was not serving its purpose of depressing the guide lever... Guess I will have to replace the accelerator - any sense for how big / small of a job that it is and how much I can expect the dealership to set me back? For now, I have inserteda block of metal between the push rod and the pedal that is serving a stop gap purpose!! At least I'm back on the road.
