Only when it rains do we have problems with our 1990 C4 stalling. Sometimes the car will re-fire and other times it won't stay running. Car runs perfect except in the rain. Even our Porsche mechanic cannot find the problem. Left us stranded last night. Need to find problem or the car will have to go. Our mechanic found that the fuel pump relay showed signs of overheating, so he replaced it. Still have the problem. The stalling feels like a fuel flow interuption. Help!

 

I am going to guess water is getting in the distributor cap enough to shut it down. It may require new spark plugs wires that have better sealing boots.

Thanks for the reply. We'll try a new plug wire set and hopefully this will solve the problem.
