Default Key programming

Hi ya'll
I recently purchased a 2003 Porsche 911 4S. Unfortunately, the owner only had one key and the remote entry did not work, I figured it was the battery which I immediately changed to no luck. Any ideas how to reprogram the key without going to the dealer and pay buku bucks??
thanks

Default RE: Key programming

Sorry, the dealer must reprogram the key. We use to be able to do it with the PIWIS with the codes provided by porsche based on the VIN, but now they have changed policy, and will no longer provide that information. IIRC you have to provide registration, proof of ownership, and your first born child to get them to reprogram the key for you now.
