hi i have just purchased this garage kept 1984 911 carrera targa with only 55,000 miles on it . but i am finding that shifting 1st & 2nd is not smooth as i think it should be also when down shiftingfrom 3rd to 2nd it sometimes needs to be slammed into gear , all the other gears are smooth as i think it should be .my nabor has a 83- 914 - and says his is the same way but he has 114,000 miles on that car, is there a lube that i should try ,or is this a common thing with this period of cars? this is my first time owning a porsche and i searchedlong & hard before buying . can anyone educate me here . thanks Rick
