throttle lever

what exactly does the throttle lever do next to the heater lever????

I was once told that it is for ahigh/fast idle function to get the engine warmed up quickly. Not sure if that's so it will run better or for faster heater performance in the winter, though.

thanks for the reply. Yeah, thats what I was under the impression of. Mainly on start ups is what it is used for.
