Default Two years

That's how long it has been since the vehicle has been started. Ran very well before it was parked due to clutch issues. It is a 1986 944 Turbo. Anything special I need to do - other than check all the fluids - before I fire her up?
Thanks,
Steven

The Porschedoc would from prior advice recommend you to change the timimg belt.
You need to be sure the engine will turnover by hand first, to check it has not seized in the meantime. If with a socket and wrench on the front crank pulley it will not turn over by hand come back for the next steps.

I just want to fire her up to drive it onto the flatbed to get her home. At that point I will change out the timing belt, head gasket, etc.

Brief reply.
Strip out plugs, add a little light oil or uper cylinder libricant to all cylinders. Turn engine by hand using wrench and socket on crank pulley. Turn until reasonable free. Put fresh fuel in tank. Leave plugs out and turnover engine of starter to blow out surplus oil from bores, and get fresh fuel into system and oil around engine. Re place plugs cleaned and gapped.
Start engine, run for short time. Check for leaks oil and water.
See next post for rest. Big Bob
