Default Wow. What a Simple fix

I am a proud owner of a 1987 Porsche 911 carrera. Recently when driving it, it felt like there was no power when I pushed on the gas pedal. I would floor it and barely get to 3000 rpms. So I checked the fuel filter and it was fine. I thought maybe it was the gas. I put new gas in it and it's still running wrong. So I was thinking it was the fuel pump. I tested one more thing though. I went to the engine and pulled the throttle and it revved right up. So I go to the front and check the throttle pedal. Sure enough, when I had it cleaned a few weeks ago the cleaner pulled the pedal back to put the carpet back and the little ball on the throttle that lines up with the pedal had dissconnected and it would just hit the floor. I reconnect it and it's as good as new. I was very relieved but also felt very foolish. hahaha

Another case of: It pays to always start with "what really stupid thing could be causing this?"

So often you only discover this after spending $800 on replacement parts.
