Default Boxster S Newbie

Hey all,

Well I finally got rid of my MB SLK 230 and got the Boxster S I should've 2 years ago. It's a 2001 model in excellent condition with 44K miles and I'm loving the hell out of it! One of the things that bothered me about the Mercedes, other than lack of performance, was the lack of technical data. As with the MB, I bought the Porsche from a reputable "non-Porsche" dealer; hence no warranty. Thats okay with me as I'm a fairly experienced mechanic (aircraft) and have always maintained my own cars as I hardly ever buy new. So, is the maintenance documentation situation the same with Porsche? I've only had it a week now and haven't really looked. If anyone knows if there is detailed maintenance info available I'd appreciate a point in the right direction.

Looking forward to an active participation in this group!

(Guess I need to get myself a signature block?!)

I used to own a 99 Boxster and also a 98 SLK both cars are about the same, but I think the SLK has a much smoother ride.
