Break In and RMS

Break In and RMS
Just bought a 2005 911 CS.
Spoke to my local dealer and service guys and they said:
1) RMS problems way overblown?
2) No real break in period? Car was run hard before delivered to US
So, where is the real authority on these issues like a Porsche mechanic (or, maybe a real mechanic can be a part of this site for conflicts of interest)
What is the real truth, please??? I don't my car to fall apart, but I don't see enough RMS complaints on this site to worry me yet....Seems statistically insignificant.....
