Default introducing myself

Hello all, my name is Chris and I'm 19 and live in Texas. I have a 1985 Porsche 944 n/a. It's been a ride trying to fix everything on that car. I bought it as a "fixerupper" and it hasn't disappointed me, but I love my car, it's sooo much fun!! Anyways, looking forward to meeting people and swapping information.

Greetings. The 944 is not that difficult to work on and fix yourself. Parts and that expensive either although labor at many shops is pretty dear. Good luck.

Great car to build up, lots of fun to drive. Is it an older dash model or the newer one? 1985 or 1985.5?

It's an older dash model as it's a 1985 not the half model.

I have a good friend that has an 84 944, which he bought new, and dearly loves. He is a bit of a perfectionist and after all these years the car looks like its is maybe 6 weeks old. Wonderful car. And even though it is 21 years old it does not look or drive like that.

Point being that the work and money put into restoration will pay off. The basic body and drivetrain are durable so it will last a long time. And they are a joy to drive.
