Default New to the forum and introducing myself.

Hello everyone. My father has just acquired a 2004 Cayenne Turbo from Porsche of Huntington (Sportique Porsche). It's a Basalt Black/Black CT that had just slightly below 7K miles on it. The exterior was virtually immaculate. Previous owner bought it then traded it back in for a 911 C4S. Got a good deal on it so I pushed my father to purchase it. I was quite surprised with both the car and my father's decision considering that he is extremely conservative and I never would have thought he'd buy a Porsche (FYI, I told him just to buy something and be happy. Stop being so self-conscience of what other people think of you.).

I have to say... when the boost kicks in and the boost gauge is on the move, it's pretty damn frightening b/c in my head I know that although it's got 450hp, it weighs 2.5+ tons. The tranny is buttery smooth compared to BMW's and Mercs (currently have a 03' E320 with a 06' E500 4Matic on order, ETA is late August). The way the Motronic module blips the throttle for you when you downshift is amazingly smooth.

BTW, one of the reasons for the purchase was to replace his aging 2000 Navi (which sucks big time) and the 100K mile service warranty b/c my father drives so damn much (and this is just within the metro NY area) so it's more practical for him. Also, watching the Top Gear video of the CT was amazing.

All in all, I'm extremely pleased with the car and I'm just happy for my father that he finally has something that he deserves. It's about time my parents start enjoying their hard earned money.

My apologies for the sort of "off-topic" content but I just thought that since I am new, I'd share my thoughts and feelings about the purchase.

Best regards,
Chris

P.S. If anyone has any questions as to the car or the dealership from which I got the car from, feel free to ask.
