hey everyone im john and im 17. i just got a 944 a week or so ago and i thought id join a forum andthis one looks pretty good. its red (what a surprise) with white leather, which is a beautiful combo. pretty damn good shape with 69k miles. im very happy with it and it drives great. although the FORTH day i had it, the water pump went and we had to get it fixed. but dont worry i didnt drive it at all until it was fixed, we had it towed to a mechanic.

I was originally going to get a 968 which me and my dad had looked at but 17 grand for a car was a little high for my dad ( yeah my dad bought me it. oh well[8D]) so he got me the 944 (1989 2.7 na btw) were both into cars alot. he had a datsun 240z, now he has a 91 nsx, which is incredible. he never liked porsches styling, but now its growin on him. i think hes starting to understand that porsches have just a classic styling. and the 993's are by far the nicest hehe

this is my 5th car i have owned, all of which have been either pieces of crap or just alirght cars. i first had an automatic chrysler conquest, then a 94 eclipse which was just complete rice, then a 86 300zx which was decent, then another conquest which was just one gigantic problem. terrible car. all of my cars have been 5 speeds other than my first car. im never goin back to automatic! now i got the 944 and im pretty damn sure i wanna keep it as long as i can.its by far the best car ive had so far. and its the first car ive had that i try to keep clean every day. my freinds always told me to get a german car, now i understand. and they all have vdubs, so a porsche is a step above lol.

so yeah thats about it. im glad i got one. i know its not a REAL porsche to some. but i love it.
