New Aussie
Just joined and thought I'd say G'Day. Recently bought an '80 911SC Coupe 5 Speed and loving it but want more horses. It's stock standard at the moment. I run it on 98RON unleaded. What should the timing be set at? Is a K&N filter a good start? What about an exhaust system. Could I get away with a decent muffler or would I need to replace headers as well? I'm working to a tight budget here. Any ideas?

Some pictures of my baby. My wife thinks I need medical help.

That's one nice looking 911 you have there! I think they look so cool when painted silver....and those black fusch alloys....great!
I wouldn't worry about the missus mate, I think all women think us blokes need medical help![&:]

A nice free breathing exhaust/muffler is a great place to start. Just put a B&B on mine (sound clip in the forum: Here BEBE purr). I immediately felt an improvement in power and WOW, do I love the sound!
Really nice on mate!
