Hi I am a new porsche owner have a 85 944, Love my car, but we are having a problem, I will be driving it and it just dies, then it wont start for a while, I loss all power radio loses stations so I know I am losing all power, and it also smells like gas really bad after it dies, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the help in advance

 

Im not an expert in Porsches yet.. im not positively sure but it sounds likethe alternator over charging the battery [sm=smiley21.gif](had to fix an equipment that had the same prob and it was the batt being over charged).. Does it stink like a stink bombor it smells like gasoline??

 

but I could be wrong.. (Im new to the porsche system.. no experience with 944s at all) but welcome to the forum
