That's a great car! Are you a previous Porsche owner or is this your first?

Congrats! If you religiously follow the maintenance schedule it'll give you years of very reliable service.

There are some pretty knowlegeable folks that frequent this forumso don't hesitate to seek advice here.

Thanks, I won't hesitate to ask for advice.

Speaking of maintenance, I was very surprised to see they only want to see the car every 2 years or 20K miles. I would have expected half of that.

What are your thoughts on this?

Service intervals for my 996 are every 15k miles I believe. 20k does seem to be a bit if a stretch I suppose, but it reallydepends on how you drive the car. Is it driven hard, a daily driver in lots of city commutes, a weekend/occasional driver, etc.. Based on how it'll be used you may want to service it a bit ahead of schedule. Keep the oil checked on a regular basis too. It'll tend touse more than your typical car and they don't like to run low. You take care of the car, and it'll take great care of you.

It's my main car :-) so it will be driven any time I am not riding my motorcycle (and since the C4 arrived in my life, the poor bike tends to be left alone in the garage).

I don't put a lot of miles on my car but think I'll go for a yearly visit at the dealership for maintenance.
