Porsche Newb Saying Hi
Hello,
Although I have always loved porsche (who doesn't), I really don't know much about them. Lately, I have been a bit frustrated with my toy car and am considering switching to a porsche 911 (no sure exactly what year yet). Oh, this is a weekend car, not a daily driver that will get tracked (road racing, not drag) few times a year.
I currently have a 1993 RX7 that is extensively modded. Good size single turbo, wide body, more fuel, engine management, and pretty much everythingexcept the motor. It puts down roughly 350-400rwhp with low boost of 12psi-15psi. The only next things I have in mind is to build up the motor and maybe a full paint job. After that I should have a nice fun car with 500rwhp.
I am really looking for something similar in rwhp (expecting to do some mods of course), but better reliability and more updated interior (thus the porsche). I guess I just don't know where to start. Can you point me to any stickies that will walk me through the differences in models and how they take to aftermarket tinkering? I am not planning on buying a brand new car, but maybe something from 2000-2006ish?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and glad to be here.
