I NEED HELP 87 911 TURBO
I HAVE AN 87 911 TURBO NOT TO FAMILIAR WITH THESE CARS, SO HERES WHAT I'VE GOT GOING ON. THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT GOES INTO OVERBOOST PROTECTION AT 3500RPM IF YOU MASH IT AND BETWEEN 4500 AND 5000 IF YOU EASE INTO IT I THOUGHT THE OVERBOOST PROTECTION WAS NOT SUPOSED TO COME ON UNTIL 7100RPM, I'VE DISSASSEMBLED THE WASTEGATE AND REPLACED THE TORN DIAPHRAGM AND MADE SUR THE WASTEGATE WAS NOT FROZEN OR THE EXHAUST PIPE WASN;T CLOGGED FROM THE WASTEGATE, ITS A PRETTY SIMPLE SYSTEM JUST HAVING A REAL HARD TIME WITH IT DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS, MAYBE SOME ONE CHANGED THE SPRING IN THE WASTEGATE BUT HOW DO I TELL IF ITS STOCK OR NOT? HELP..........

well i must say thank you to you Doc, you asked if ichecked the boost and where it was at and than i thought about it and realized that the air injection was stripped out of the car and the vacuum line that runs to the air injection solenoids obviously was not left open or i would have a high idle, so what did this person do with that vacuum line,...... well come to find they hooked it to the steel line in engine bay to the top port of the waste gate, duh i should have realized that when i took the waste gate out that the line was still attached to something, that port is supposed to vent to atmoshpere... dissconnected that vacuum line and drove it and the car is an animal now boost hits .9 bar and pulls hard doesn't fall on its face. so thanks for the help and making me think i love mental masturbation.
