Default 1993 porsche 964 carrera 4 targa (M)

Hi,
I am new here. I need advise. Thinking of buying 1993 porsche 964 carrera 4 targa (M). What do I need to look out for. Is there any major problem with this model? What is the yearly maintenance looks like? Its a manual gear box. Can this be change to auto? Is it easy to change to auto? Does it simply take off the manual gear box and fit the auto gear box?
What does it mean by carrera 4 and targa?
Appreciate all the advise.
Thanks.

Wow. I'm sure others will chime in but I would highly suggest that you do some research on these cars first before you leap. I seems you aren't too familiar with Porsches. I think it would be a huge mistake, and costly, to try converting this car to an automatic. Why?

Yes, you are right. I am not familiar with Porsches. That is why i posted the questions asking for help. I like auto as i am a lazy guy to change the gear. I am not going for speed, however i like Porsche very much. Especially the 911carrera targa.
Please advise.
