Default 2005 911S 997 Navigation Problem

I recently replaced the Navigation drive (DVD ROM) in the trunk on my 2005 Carrera S 997 Because the dealer told me it was bad. They wanted 1500 plus tax with a new DVD stating mine was stuck inside the drive. Obviously they could say that because thedrive would not eject the CD it was completly dead it would not iluminate either.

I found a new one on ebay for under 500 and put it on myself but, still not working It is telling me on the PCM screen "ERROR WHILE STARTING NAVIGATION" and sometimes when I start the engine it displays a message that says " CUT OFF PROTECTION PCM TEMPERATURE.

I open the old drive and got the cd out. It was pretty easy I don't understand why they wanted me to buy a new CD if I replaced te DVD Rom thru them.

Does anybody know why is my navigation not working now? I have a bad feeling my PCM is bad I hope someone has a positive answer.

Thank you
