Default 84-Carrera Starting Problem

I jsut had my 1984 Carrera (less than 58K original miles) serviced and a few days later I drove it to work. When I came out to go to lunch the car would not start. The engine would turn over but the car would not start. I had it towed to my mechanic and my mechanic replaced all the sensors, DME etc.. I picked the car up later that day and drove it home. The car is a Sunday driver that is used about ever other week. A week later I went to drive the car and it would not start, motor turned over, strong battery but it would not start. After about 1 hour of tring the car started. I took back to my mechanic and the car was checked out again with a new sensor installed and information regarding the Motorla controller board (brain as my mechanic calls it) may have hair line cracks in the solder causing the problem.
Problem - If I start the car every day then no problem but if I let the car sit for a few days the car will not start. This just started happening. Car is well maintained.

Sensors have been changed out. Electric fuel pump is working. Battery is new and cranking power is execellent.

Any thoughts on resolving the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Give me a list of exactly what has been changed out on your invoice. There are numerous sensors in a car. Did he change the DME Relay?

Default 84 - Carrera Starting Problem

All 3 sensors were changed out (the one under the front set and two off of the engine if I recall)and the Motronix processor under the front seat has been checked out and found to be functional.

The DME control unit or main processor under the front seat was replaced. The old processor was sent out to be bench tested and inspected. It reutrned with no trouble found. All sensors have been replaced as well.
This did not fix the problem. The car will start up out of the blue.
Once the car starts it will start every day if I go out and start it up. But if I leave it sit for 3 or 4 days the car will not start.
My mechanic came to the house and installed a 1988 Motronic (sic) DME processor. We let it sit for a 4 days and it would not start.
