Per PorscheDoc's advice - DEFINETELY get the PPI done at the seller's local Porsche dealer. You might even be able to negotiate so the seller pays for it, but if not it's still amust do. I had my seller pay for mine, and the dealer found several things wrong which amounted to around $5K, mostly minor things. But regardless I had the seller fix the more expensive items and it wound up saving me a ton.

I've had my 2001 C2 for about a week now, and I'm totally in heaven. I would say if you can do it, go for a 2002 because it comes with PSM standard. I've already spun out once (but I was being pretty aggressive), and having that would be a nice safety net Either way, if it's your first Porsche, you're going to love it.
