911 immobiliser

911/964 1991 car just cut out when driving, and unable to restart due to a dead
immobiliser key switch, ie no bleep!
voltmeter shows no volts on the switch. all fuses in the front check ok, so can anyone
tell me where it is fed from !, tracing the cable impossible as it seems to go under floor.
any advice or tips would be useful !
