911 no sound out of radio or nav
I had not started my car in a few weeks and needed to jump the car. Unfortunately when I was in the car the positive cable came of and went to ground. It blew a few fuses which I replaced but neither the nav or the stereo will give out sound.
Does anyone know what the issue could be? I have been told that the amp has a feature that puts it into a sleep mode and that it needs to be reset at the dealer. When I called the dealers service dept they said they had never heard of such a thing.
The next thing would be to buy a new amp but thought I would reach out for some knowledge first.
Thanks

Some years of the car have a security feature that has to be re-set if the power the the radio unit is disrupted. Others don't. Maybe you car is like this. I'd investigate before spending money on an amp as I doubt it will solve your problem.
And I'd get a good battery tender if you plan to leave the car for long periods like that.
