Has anyone swapped wide body tire to a narrow body car. Are there any clearance issues with the rear tires?

 

Looks like no one has tried this.

I had the same desire for wider tires on acar other than my Porsche. I went to a good tire retailerthat carries alot of tire brands. I had them measure the sizes that were Z rated at the wider widths avaiable for my car and measured my wheel opening space.I cut it back a 1/2 inch from their recomendations but it worked fine. You may not get the full width of the wide body car but you can most likely get wider.

Thanks for the help, I am just looking to pickup some 997 widebody takeoffs. That way I get the tire sensors and the Porsche quality.

 

another option is to go down the spacer route...

although i recently went to a porsche racing specialist and they said it's not really worth the effort and you have to redo the alignment settings.
