I''m looking to buy a 2005 911 C2 cabriolet.
Less than 20,000 miles.
A few options/pkgs....special order paint, upgraded rims, bose

Owner asking 41,000.

What do you think? About the 996 in general and cab in partiular?

Is it worth waiting for a 997 model I can afford?

Are you sure your year is correct? 2005 is the first year of the 997. The 996 ran 98-2004

 

Yes. It is a 2005.
I didnt know that it was the first year of the 997.

I forgot to write that it has a 6mt.

For a 997 with that mileage, that is a decent price. Not smoking, but decent. The car WILL continue to depreciate, look at the 996's and their age, and the 997 IMHO will follow them down in the same fashion.
