Default Buying a 911, question

Hi everyone!

I am trying to buy a 911 (02-05).
I saw one today (05 Carrera coupe 46k miles) and I was a bit surprised with some white powder around the joints (yes! no temptation there, haha...). Anyone knows what that could be? Flooded?

The dealer said it is coming from the polish but i was a bit skeptical...
Thanks for all!

You mean white powder on the body, near joints and ends of panels - sort of stuck on but flakes off? That is residue from a heavy wax job. White powder near suspension joints means some sort electrochemicalcorrosion and could be serious. White powder around electrical joints mean electric system connection corrosion, and while more common, can and should be prevented.

Thanks Lee. Yes it is white powder near joints and ends of panels. Seems as you suggest some heavy waxing is the explanation. I was just skeptical how it got under the joints on the doors. But I guess that can be possible...
I saw the car again and it looks might have had an accident... the lock of the trunk in the front is loose and the carpet in the trunk is detached and worn where the screws are. Also there is a good scratch on the CD changer box.
