Buying preowned 996 911?
so.. i think i've decided on what car to get next!
996 911 C2 (Base model lol)
What I can afford is along the lines of 1999-2000 year-age with something
less than 50,000 miles but preferably around 30-40
Anyone got any tips in buying those?
Yes the maintainance issues... but the porsches are built like tanks and
i've seen on consumer reports that the reliability on those cars are the best
along with Honda, Lexus, Lincoln. So I guess its just when something does go,
I have to shell out like $120 an hour for a competent repair shop to fix it.
..
is ebay a better way to go these days for the specifications im looking for?

RE: Buying preowned 996 911?
I found CPO '99s in VA and OH for under $43,000. There's a Blue Coupe with under 17k and a Red Cabrio with under 30k. At least the drive home to PA would be fun and the certified cars would keep you from worrying about repairs for awhile.

hmm...
43000$ or CND?
yesterday when i looked on ebay (well thats the easiest price search in the world i guess)
99's were around 30-35
and verts were 35-40
i am a performance head so i like the hardtop better i think
i dont think Certified would even be worth that much because something like the clutch is a wear and tear item and it wont be covered anyway...
ja?
