Default Headlight Covers fading

Just wanted to know what you guys use to polish the headlight covers. Mine are fading with a yellowish tint. I have an 03 Carrera 2. I was thinking about getting them done professionally but wanted everyones opinion. Thanks in advance!

I've been using Plexus since ca. 1998 with no issues of yellowing.

If the covers are yellowing, rather than scratched or pitted, this indicates a sunlight reaction or bad case of weathering. I'm wondering if at sometime in the car's history if it was fitted with non standard parts?
1) However you might want to try something like Autoglym Glass Polishused in conjunction with a lambswool power buff. If that does not workThen 2)
2) If something more powerfull is needed try asmall amount of paint polishing/cutting compound is a very small section to see if that moves it. Alternatively "Jewellers Rouge".
If you cannot remove it with the latter suggestions, I would suspect that the yellowing is in the cover through out the structure.

If it looks like the haze is on the outside, not a true yellowing of the depth of the lens, I've used 3M rubbing compound by hand on Toyotas, Hondas, etc to make them more liveable. A friend at a body shop uses a machine, but I recommend doing it by hand so you can guage progress. Big Bob is right, do a small section first to see how much comes of with how much rubbin'.

Hey guys wanted to give you an update. I decided to clean them myself. I used 1000 grit sand paper wet and sanded the yellow off and then buffed it with a plastic polish and they now look good. Not new but much better and the car does not look old anymore. Thanks for you input!
