Help with ignition switch

Default Help with ignition switch

I had my ignition switch return spring go bad and pulled the switch, replaced it and tested it and found that the brand new switch did not have a return spring???
returned the switch and bought one from another dealer and found this new one is the same no return spring on the start position??? Switch # 964.613.012.00
which is supposed to fit my 1978 Porsche 911 SC... What am I doing wrong??? Thanks
