It's Ebay, and people are free to ask whatever price they want for their stuff on Ebay - whether they get it or not is another thing entirely.

I've seen some ridiculous asking prices on ebay. I've also seen some real bargains. And I've seen a number of people pay more for
items than the item is currently going for retail.. sometimes people get caught up in the fever of auctions.

P.S. Since I'm neither a collector nor a mechanic, I'd be worried about a 20 year old car with only 13 k miles.. don't car's need to be driven
a little to keep in shape? It seems to me you might have problems with parts getting gummed up, rubber parts deteriorating, etc, etc..

agreed. that's a neglected car, i don't care if it was only driven on sunny weekends for 20 years, that's not enough driving.

hey i just thought id tell you it is very easy to clock those models. my dad has a 1987 porsche and it only has 40,000 miles on. hes had is since new and would take the engine apart and clean every piece(for car shows) he also had this button he would push, i called it the "killer" because it wouldstop the speedo which then stopped the miles. also one day when i was playing around in the garage i opened a box and presto a porsche speedo. and guess how many miles it had on it.......3 lol. i dont know if people have seen some porsches were they have moved the rev counter around so the redline is visible through the steering wheel. its an easy job to change it and most of the porsches you see today of that age are clocked. with my dads it would be hard to prove because he has perfect history, the engine sparkles and you might think that the leather is craked. wrong its doesnt have a mark on it. he used to be the president of the porsche club and learned lots of tricks to keep them in mint condition. i would tell you how to keep the leather perfect but that would spoil the fun for those that now how.
