Default I am buying 1st 2000 Porsche 911! What am I supposed to know

I am considering buying this C4 911 at 31000 miles, year 2000 model. it is convertible and AWD/Triptronic.

What are the things I need to watch out? I am already scheduled pre-buy inspection w/ local Porsche dealer for the car. I am also considering after market warranty just in case. I learned my lesson very from my 540i:- )

Thanks for advices already.

Cheers

Eric

If you can afford a 2002 or newer, go for it. Quite a few refinements and more HP, and most importnatly better acceleration from standstill. That said, if you've found a nice example here and it fit's your budget, then this car will be fine. Nice low miles.

Couldn't agree more with swynn97. I purchased a 2002 with 35k miles from a coworker and was extremely pleased with the '02 model.
