Default which intake system for 996TT?

which intake system is the best for a 2003 996TT? Do they even improve performance or is it just a waste of money? At the moment my car is a stock tiptronic other then new springs installed to lower it after putting 19" wheels on it... I want to do air intake system, exhaust system and ecu reflash.. hoping it will give it a boost in performance... any thoughts and idea's suggestions?

thanks

sounds like your in the same delima as Im at, Ive got a 2001 996tt and going with the same set up you are with the exception of also upgrading to the k-24 turbos. the car is going in next week, hopfuly will be getting it back out in a couple. will let you know. I think I might be getting too power hungry, I was perfectly happy with my 996 cabriolet for the last couple of years(wife's car now) but getting the turbo is a whole another animal. driving enjoyment is like night and day. I could never go back to a regular 911. I feel the need for speed!

Hi
Intake systems are effective, as they tend to make it easier for the engine to "breathe" and where they ALSO draw in more "cold" air increase the mass charge per induction cycle, giving more power and torque. Relatively they are cheap compared to Exhaust Systems.
Take a look at Fab Speedas they tend to provide reduced resistence fitration as well as "colder air". Avoid filter systems that require oiling, as they can contaminate the MAPS, giving warning lights problems.
