Default Just venting a little

I wanted to take a second to complain a little. I work part time at a used car lot that does consignments. We have an older gentleman who has called and worn out the other staff. He has a 1986 911 targa, a 1984 308 GTsi and several other exotics that he wants to sell. So, I call him and state "I hear you have a type 930 you want to sell" and he gets defensive and corrects me telling me he has a 911! I try to explain and then he quizzes me on the engine. So I respond 3.2 l aircooled boxer with Bosch K-jetronic mechanical fuel injection. He then asks me how many cylinders? I asked him if he was kidding and go on to tell him the bore x stoke, hp 0-62kph, top speed weight, height, track, production numbers and a representative sample of what cars are going for on ebay and at the Manheim auctions. The other staff failed to mention that he wanted something like $35k for the car, so needless to say he was done talking to me. Sorry about complaining, I was just a little put off. I guess I got him a little defensive (he had to tell me that he has been a aviator since 1944 and had a degree in electronics- should have asked him to explain vaccuum tubes and solid state electronics to me!)

Someone chime in, I realize that it was badged the 911 3.2 carrera, I could have been mistaken about the type 930 as I forgot the 930 was the designation of the turbo.

Yes, 930 is the 911 turbo designation from 75 to 89
