Default Lost Oil Res' Dipstick
I have a ’74 911 Carrera. The oil reservoir dipstick has fallen down into the reservoir and I would like to retrieve it, as I am worried about the thing causing the float to hang up. We have tried using various shaped wires and no joy. I think that this must be a typical happening with this car. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to use one of the magnetic probs with the spring rod handle?
