Default Should I Be Concerned?

ok...i've got another question regarding the 2003 996 coupe i just picked up. the car has the tiptronic tranny in it and i've noticed that at idle, in our out of gear, there is a noise coming from the tranny hump between the seats and directly under the parkingbrake. i don't know what isdown there but it sounds like a bearing or something is going out...like a minor grinding noise but its intermittentin nature.

any ideas on what it could be? anyone else have this problem before?

thanks.

jeff
