Default Stuck Window?

I have a 2001 996 cabriolet. When you open the door, the window is supposed to go down about 1/4 inch to preserve the seals, and the then go back up when the door is closed. This works fine on the drivers side, but the passenger window does not seem to work. The regular electric window function works fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks for the advice.

Could be a microswitch problem on that side, or possible problem with the wiring harness in the door. I have seen both.
