Default Turbo Upgrade

I helped a friend of mine to buy a 1986 Carrera. Evertyhing checked out okay and the red 86 is one heck of a machine. However, my friend is not happy with its performance because he lost to a Corvett. He is not the type of person who uses computers (or any other modern gadgets) so he asked if I can look for some info for him. I would appreciate if anyone can help me out with the following problem.

Car is a Red 86 Carrera, non turbo. There was a small oil leak and the dealer said that the hoses needed to be replaced ($1300 is the cost) There is another shop in Kansas City called Bavarian Auto, who says that he can "super charge" the machine but his cost is $10K. Is it possible for my friend to first of all add a turbo to his 911? If he can, is $10K too much? (I noticed one can get all the necessary parts from Performance products around ~$2K but I am clueless about the labor) Can anyone help?

Thanks,

GreatAlexandros
