Don't get me wrong, the 996 is a great platform, the cars are very reliable....but they just improved on a great car with the 997

Lee, Doc, thanks. I agree with everything both of you write, and would also describe the 997 as feeling tighter and more powerful. Is part of that "tightness"difference simply down to one being newer? I've noticed thesame thingin other comparisons between adjacent generations of other car models- the new one always feels "tighter" in all respects- when you close the doors, when going around corners, or simply accelerating in a straight line.

I like the GT3 performance and the RWD setup. It's very lightweight so the car is very efficient. If I had to buy a porsche I would go for the TT because of the bang for the buck performance and gawk factor. I also think the TT looks better.

Johnny thank you for the kind word. I will let Doc answer that since i do not know. i think it is evolutionary engieering improvements not sure. The "S" is just more power.

I one thing I do not like about the 997 is no spare tire and the plastic stuff they put there. Of course in 7 years with the car i have never used the spare tire. Okay I changed my mind it does not matter
