Default 87 944 Turbo... re-Aligning the crank with the cam

I messed up big time! I didn't roll the engine in my 1987 944 Turbo to TDC before removing the timing belt... I n the process of replacing seals, I moved the crank shaft.... Now the crank won't move (I'm assuming valves are hitting the piston head) so I can re align them. What do I need to do to free up the crank to re-align the timing marks? NEED HELP FAST!

Pull the cam tower, set the crank on TDC, the reinstall the cam tower on TDC.

Thanks for getting right back to me.... I was prepared to pull off the cam, but thought there might be some shop trick that would save me some time. Thanks again.
