Default control arm bushings

Trying to get the rear bushing off the drivers side A arm. This is an 85/1 with steel arms and it seems to be frozen in place. Tried a big hammer and had no luck. Anyone have a suggestion?

Default RE: control arm bushings

If you have access to an air powered cut off wheel or even an electric angle grinder you can cut a groove through the bushing and its steel sleeve. Beware of flying hot rubber and lots of smoke(at least you'll have the pleasing aroma of burning rubber though) and avoid cutting into the control arm. Then you should be able to use a hammer with a chisel or drift to remove it. Hope that helps.
