Default sway bar bushings

I am in process of replacing the brushes on my front sway bar. I had a loud clunking noise up front and I noticed that one of the centers was pretty much gone. The inner bushings went well but I have a questions about the outers. Can these be changed by hand (lube and elbow grease) or do they need to be pressed in? I didn't want to rip the old ones out if I couldn't get the new ones in. Thanks.

You can hammer them in if you are careful. Just lube them up good with silicone paste, and they should pop right into the holder.
