Default cooling fan switch

My early 85 was running about half on the temp guage before the fans switched on. Now its going to about 3/4 or slightly higher before the fans swich on. With summer around the corner I think its too high. Should I change the cooling fan switch on the radiator?

My 85/1 does the same thing, comes on about 3/4 s. Have not had any problem with this, but if it is coming on more than slighly above 3/4s I would change the temp sensor. If you run the A/C in the summer you may not see the main fan turn on from the temp sensor at all.

I bought a new one on ebay. When I get it I'll swap it out and see what happens. I just don't think it should run that hot. The fans were coming on at half before. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks
