Default Dead 944

I went out to my car this morning to start it and it wouldn't start. I would turn the key and nothing would turn on. No dash lights, nothing. I checked the battery and it was fine i even opened the relay/fuse box. Although no dash lights would come on and everything appeared dead, when i would turn the key it sounded like the relays were operating. Checked the fuses, battery terminals, starter connections, all seemed fine. The car was working fine the night before. Any ideas?

How did you check the battery. Could you jump start it? Sounds like a bad battery or a bad alternator to me.

I checked the battery at the terminals with a voltmeter it read about 12.5 volts. Its weird because i can hear some relays clicking in the fusebox under the hood but nothing inside the car turns on. It's completely dead. It seems like there is power to the relay coils to energize them but no supply to the contacts. Is there a main power supply relay or fuse that could have blown?

Could also be a bad starter solenoid.
